Movie Review: All Together Now

September 21, 2020
From the beginning of the movie it started off good. You already get a feel for one of the main characters and it gives you a little insight into her life. You can tell that she’s trying to save money and that her family is going through some things because in the next scene you see her going to an outlet place where they park all of the school buses, waiting for her mother. They’re homeless and it seems as if her mother has somewhat of a drinking problem whenever she is with her ex-boyfriend.
None of her friends know what she’s going through until one day her mom actually loses her job because they found out they’re sleeping on the bus she drives. In the next scene, she and her mom are at a diner and she’s explaining how they are going to move back in with her mother’s ex-boyfriend, who in fact is abusive to her mother. She doesn’t want to go. You can already tell something bad is going to happen.
This movie keeps you on your toes and brings you on an emotional roller coaster that you aren’t really expecting. It’s one you can watch with your family, and gives you an insight into how life can literally throw you punches. You just have to find a way to get up from them and make the most of life.
